Description
12" (30 cm). Each has paper mache head with
painted hair and bonnet, painted facial features,
one piece paper mache torso and legs with painted
baby costumes to match bonnets, pin-jointed arms.
CONDITION: Generally excellent. COMMENTS: French,
circa 1890, the bazaar-quality dolls were
commonly found in budget-priced stores or street
bazaars. VALUE POINTS: Despite their humble
origins, the dolls are quite rare today; few were
saved and even fewer are in this store-fresh
original condition, with interesting variety of
costumes.
