Description
8" (20 cm). Bisque shoulderhead with solid dome,
tiny blue glass inset eyes with painted lashes
and lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils,
closed mouth with accent line between the lips,
ears pierced into the head, muslin torso and
stitch-jointed upper arms and legs, bisque arms
from above the elbows with sculpted fingers and
separate thumbs,bisque lower legs with bare feet.
CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS: S 2/0 H.
COMMENTS: Simon and Halbig, circa 1880. VALUE
POINTS: The very beautiful little closed mouth
doll with rare original body is presented in her
original canvas-over-wooden trunk with two lift-
out trays and contains a rich assortment of
original costumes including three fine dresses,
undergarments, hats, shoes and stockings.
