Description
20" H. x 13" W. A wooden framed two story house
with painted blue roof and attic gable dormer, is
covered with lithographed paper to suggest stucco
and brick. The hinged front has wooden porches on
first and second floor with carved columns and
fancily gilded balustrades. There are two front
doors that open and close with silver handles,
four glass front windows, two glass windows at
each side, and marbleized paper base. The
interior contains a pulley-system elevator with
hand-wind at the outside, original lace curtains,
wall and floor papers, and an original
Gottschalck limed-oak bedroom set. A nearly
duplicate house, but smaller and without
elevator, is shown in Little Houses by the Side
of the Road, #4. Excellent condition. Circa 1900.
