24" (61 cm). Bisque socket head with distinctive
square-shaped jawline softened by full cheeks and
chin, large brown glass oval-shaped inset eyes
with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecut, painted lashes with "dot" highlights,
rose blushed eyeshadow, thickly brushstroked and
feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded
nostrils, closed mouth with slightly upturned lip
corners, outlined lips, pierced ears, antique
brunette hand-tied human hair wig over Steiner
pate, Steiner composition and wooden fully
jointed body with straight wrists, curled
separated fingers. CONDITION: Generally
excellent. MARKS: Sie G 5. COMMENTS: Jules
Steiner, circa 1885. VALUE POINTS: Very rare
model of Steiner bebe, few examples are known to
exist, is enhanced by finest quality of bisque
and sculpting, beautiful complexion enhanced by
lustrous dewy patina, original body and body
finish, antique French woolen mariner's costume.
