Description
50" x 34" house. The very elaborate house,
constructed to represent 1890 era, has twelve
rooms and three attic rooms, all furnished in
lavishly in a disparate arrangement of antique
furnishings and accessories. Included are wooden
furnishings, some with marble tops, in the so-
called Biedermeier era, painted ensemble with
lithographed appliques, Schneegass examples and
hand-made pieces; pressed tin furniture, and cast
metal furniture, as well as an important number
of accessories: gilt ormulu framed lithographs,
metal-framed lithographs, mirrors, many
chandeliers, accessories including clocks,
figurines, dishes, kitchenware, tin wall
telephone, bust of Queen Victorian on wooden
pedestal, gilt ormulu accessories, trunks,
fireplace mantels. Of special interest is an
unusual mantel and a carved wooden chaise noted
as being surplus inventory from the furnishings
of Titania's Palace dollhouse. There are many
additional items not shown in the photographs.
Contents range from fair to excellent condition.
The house was constructed in recent years to
showcase the collection of furnishings which are
all 1875-1925.
