22" (56 cm). Bisque socket head with ebony-black complexion, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes with incised upper eyeliner, modelled brushstroked brows with incised detailing, open mouth with slightly parted large lips, row of six porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black mohair fleecy wig, black composition and wooden ball- jointed body, antique costume comprising cotton print skirt, bandanna, shawl, gold coin beads, rose bead necklace. CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS: 1358 Germany Simon & Halbig S&H 9. COMMENTS: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. VALUE POINTS: Very rare character model with exceptional quality of complexion enhanced by soft lustrous patina, beautifully painted lips, original wig, body, body finish.
