Description
13" x 10". A wooden box with decorative engraving
papers on lid and sides including illustrations
of children playing, and drawings of zodiacal
signs, contains a roulette wheel with references
to the zodiac and a series of little toys that
could be won in playing the game. The toys
include rare poupee accessories such as bone-
framed cruet set, woven reticule with silver
trim, blown glass oil lamp, silver bed warmer,
and other toys such as Grodnertal wooden doll,
carved wooden animals, and leather folio. Signed
on lid "H. Mollard, Paris, Brevete SGDG",
and "Coqueret, edit." France, circa 1860. A rare
toy in well preserved condition.
