Description
2 1/2" L. head. A bisque head with blue glass
eyes, painted features, has black painted mask,
blonde mohair wig, wears blue silk party hat with
silk rosettes, and is attached to lace collar
frill with blue and ivory silk streamers
decorated with silver bells. The party favor was
designed for actual use at festive soirees in the
same manner as wooden-handled marottes. Marked SL
(intertwined on head). French, circa 1890. Fine
unplayed with condition.
