Description
16" (40 cm). Carved wooden figure of angel with
brown enamel eyes, painted eyeliner and brows,
aquiline nose, closed mouth with center accent
line, long brunette hair, wooden cone-shaped
skirt form, hemp-wrapped arms, carved hands with
expressively posed fingers. CONDITION: Very good,
finish on hands worn. COMMENTS: Continental, mid
19th century. VALUE POINTS: The figure wears
original silk gown with metallic threads, feather
wings, original velvet covered base, early French
newspaper backing on gown.
