14" (35 cm). Composition socket head on wooden
neck rim, light brown painted hair with forelock
curl, large blue side-glancing eyes, five painted
lashes, v-shaped brows, closed mouth with pouty
expression, cloth body, composition limbs,
painted black boots. CONDITION: Generally
excellent. MARKS: Effanbee Skippy c. P.L. Crosby.
COMMENTS: Effanbee, circa 1940. VALUE POINTS:
Superb condition of the unplayed with doll,
wearing original blue woolen Marine uniform with
brass buttons, matching cap, red sash, and
contained in original box with illustration of
Skippy drawn by P.L. Crosby.
