Description
11" H. overall, 7" H. doll. A maplewood box with
rich inlay contains a fine-quality music box.
Posed atop the box is a bisque-headed doll with
glass eyes, closed mouth, mohair wig, carton
body, wooden lower limbs. When wound and lever
released, music plays and the doll "dances" in a
series of complicated and realistic movements.
CONDITION: Generally excellent. COMMENTS: For the
French market, circa 1900. VALUE POINTS: Pristine
unplayed with condition of the luxury quality
music box, the doll wearing her original pink
twill gown, and the original cardboard packing
box intact.
