Description
The doll has poured bisque socket head, large
blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted
lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth,
shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde
mohair wig over cork pate, original composition
and wooden fully jointed body. The doll wears her
factory original couturier costume comprising
maroon velvet two-piece dress with ivory woven
stripes, comprising jacket with ivory silk front
panel edged with metallic thread trimmed brown
velvet, matching pleated skirt with attached
balayeuse, matching bonnet with maroon silk
ribbons, undergarments, cream Jumeau stockings
and black leather Jumeau shoes with brown silk
rosettes. Marked "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 1"
and artist's checkmarks on head, and "Jumeau
Medaille d'Or Paris" on torso. Emile Jumeau, with
couturier costume by Ernestine Jumeau, circa
