Description
The all-bisque doll has swivel head on kid-edged
bisque torso, very plump facial modelling, brown
glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner encircling the
eyecut, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with
outlined lips, two square-cut upper teeth, one
square-cut lower tooth, blonde mohair wig over
plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs
with very shapely legs, painted white ribbed
stockings with scalloped-edge, purple ties, aqua
painted ankle boots with black tassels. The doll
wears lace dress with matching cape and bonnet,
blue silk ribbon trim. Marked "4". Kestner, circa
1885. 9" (23 cm).
