Description
The all-bisque doll has swivel head with kid-
edged bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes,
painted lashes and feathered brows, accented
nostrils, open mouth with accented lips, two
square-cut upper teeth, one square cut lower
tooth, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-
jointed bisque limbs with cupped hands, shapely
legs with defined knees and tiny ankles, painted
white socks with scallop tops, aqua green ties,
grey ankle boots with black tassels and little
heels. The doll wears ivory silk dress with aqua
sash, and cotton trim, matching bonnet. The doll
is arranged in antique domed doll trunk with
embroidered whitewear garments, lace-covered
pillow and cover, and tiny all-bisque doll.
Signed "111" on torso and "3" on head. Kestner,
circa 1885. 9" (23 cm).
