Description
The all-bisque doll has rounded facial modelling,
swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, grey glass
sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner
encircles the eyecuts, feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with
accented lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster
pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, arms
modelled bent at elbow with cupped fingers,
shapely legs with slender ankles, painted white
boots with pink ties, five-lace heeled boots. The
doll wears lace and ivory silk dress,
undergarments. Signed "111". Kestner, circa 1885.
