Description
The all-bisque baby has brown sculpted hair with
delicately detailed sculpting, swivel head with
flanged neck, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, painted
lashes, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed
mouth with accented lips, loop-jointed bisque
arms and legs in bent baby position, painted
white socks and blue one-strap shoes. The doll
owns little cotton smock and blue knit cap.
Signed "copr, by Mildred The Prize Baby Germany
880.13" (incised on back torso), "13" on front
torso neck and upper arms and "881 13" on upper
legs. The doll has original "Mildred" paper label
on torso and original box also labelled "Mildred"
and "no. 1005/880. Circa 1920. 5 1/4" (13 cm).
