Description
The slender-faced bisque socket head doll has
amber tinted complexion with delicate blushing,
brown glass sleep eyes, painted black lashes,
black brushstroked brows with feathering,
accented nostrils, open mouth with shaded and
outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced
ears, black mohair wig in upswept fashion,
original amber-tinted composition and wooden ball-
jointed body. The doll wears antique cotton
jacket and wrap-skirt in butterfly pattern,
carries small paper mache Asian doll.
Signed "1329 Simon & Halbig Germany S&H 2". Simon
and Halbig, circa 1910. 12" (30 cm).
