The pressed bisque doll has swivel head on kid- edged bisque shoulder plate, amber brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, brush stroked and feathered brows, accent dots at eye corners and nostrils, center accent line between the lips, pierced ears, modelled bosom and shoulder blades, blonde human hair wig over cork pate, original kid body with scalloped edge bodice, gusset jointing at hips and knees, curve-shaped kid upper arms, bisque lower arms with detailed posed fingers, defined knuckles and painted outline of nails. The doll owns a burgundy silk dress with ivory trim, lace trimmed undergarments, woolen knit petticoat, knit stockings, black leather shoes signed "Bru Jne 0", turquoise bead necklace and earrings and miniature tortoise shell hair comb. Along with the doll is her life story as recounted in a forty-year old issue of Doll News including family life in the 1880's and her entrance into the collecting world at the 1957 UFDC convention in San Francisco, and her blue ribbon award at the 1958 UFDC convention in New York.
