Description
The bisque socket head doll has lustrous patina
complexion, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes,
painted lower lashes, brushstroked and feathered
brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open
mouth, teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig
over cork pate, original composition and wooden
fully-jointed body. The doll has pale yellow
dress with torchon lace and rose silk ribbons,
undergarment, cream kidskin shoes with rose
edging, rose socks, silk pale yellow patterned
cap with rose silk ribbons. Signed "Dep 1" on
head and has original paper label from Paris doll
shop "Nadaud...". SFBJ, circa 1900. 10" (25 cm).
