Description
A wide-eyed bebe in her original Jumeau
presentation. The poured bisque socket head doll
has luminous amber brown glass paperweight inset
eyes, dark eyeliner, long painted curly lashes,
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line,
pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate,
original composition and wooden fully jointed
body with straight wrists. The doll wears her
original early period muslin chemise with lace
and maroon silk ribbons, maroon stockings, and
leather shoes signed "Depose Paris 1".
Signed "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 1" and
artist's checkmarks on head, and "Jumeau Medaille
d'Or Paris" on body. Emile Jumeau, circa 1888. 9"
