Description
The tiny bisque bebe has softly blushed
complexion, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted
lashes with "dot" highlights, arched feathered
brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed
mouth with accented lips, impressed dimples
around the mouth and chin, pierced ears, blonde
mohair wig over Steiner pate, original
composition fully jointed body. The bebe wears
rose organdy gown over matching underdress, with
lace bodice, tucking, lace, petticoat and
pantalets, rose silk ribbon trim, straw bonnet
with rose sateen lining and decorative flowers,
black leather shoes. Incised "A 0 Paris" and red
stamp "Le Parisien". Jules Steiner, circa 1889. 8
