Description
Light blue spiral-threaded eyes complement the
very pale bisque of the early block letter bebe
by Rabery and Delphieu. The pressed bisque bebe
has plump facial modelling, small cut eye
sockets, painted lashes and feathered brows, rose
blushed eyeshadow, accented eye corners and
nostrils, closed mouth with outlined heart-shaped
lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork
pate, original composition and wooden body with
loose ball joints at elbows and knees. The doll
wears her original sheer muslin gown with lavish
lace and embroidery over rose sateen undergown,
chemise, pantalets, matching bonnet with double
row of ruffles, rose silk ribbons. Incised "R.4/0
D." in block letters. Rabery and Delphieu, circa
