Light blue spiral-threaded eyes complement the very pale bisque of the early block letter bebe by Rabery and Delphieu. The pressed bisque bebe has plump facial modelling, small cut eye sockets, painted lashes and feathered brows, rose blushed eyeshadow, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined heart-shaped lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original composition and wooden body with loose ball joints at elbows and knees. The doll wears her original sheer muslin gown with lavish lace and embroidery over rose sateen undergown, chemise, pantalets, matching bonnet with double row of ruffles, rose silk ribbons. Incised "R.4/0 D." in block letters. Rabery and Delphieu, circa 1882. 12" (30 cm).
