Description
The bisque socket head bebe has blue glass inset
eyes, painted lashes, thick stroke brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette
mohair wig over original Steiner pate, original
composition fully jointed body. The bebe wears
original aqua silk frock with moss green velvet
and lace trim, matching bonnet, original
undergarments, stockings, black leather slippers.
Incised "J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 3" on
head and stamped "Le Petit Parisien Bebe Steiner
Medaille d'Or Paris 1889" on body. Jules Steiner,
circa 1889. 10 1/2" (26 cm).
