Description
The doll has poured bisque socket head, blue
glass paperweight inset eyes, very long painted
lashes, thick brushstroked brows with feathering,
accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips,
pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate,
original composition and wooden fully jointed
body. The doll wears her original aqua silk twill
dress with lace trim and matching wide-brimmed
bonnet with silk ribbon rosette and lace ruffle,
undergarments, aqua net stockings, aqua leather
boots. The doll is presented in her original box
labeled "Paris Bebe 2" on the outside and "Bebe
Jumeau" with advertising on inside label.
Marked "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 2" and
artist's checkmarks on head and "Bebe Jumeau
Depose" on body. Emile Jumeau, circa 1892. 11"
