The bisque socket head doll with rounded facial
modelling has blue glass sleep eyes, painted
lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows,
accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two
porcelain upper teeth, defined double chin,
blonde mohair wig over original plaster pate,
original composition and wooden ball-jointed
body, antique costume and shoes. Signed "a made
in Germany 4". Kestner, their 143 model, circa
1915. 11" (28 cm).
