Description
The bisque socket head bebe has dark blue glass
enamel eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde
mohair wig over Steiner pate, original
composition body jointed at shoulders and hips.
The doll wears original elaborate costume of
Turkish royalty comprising muslin shift with red
and cream embroidery under yellow wool skirt with
black velvet and metallic gilt trim, blue, red
and amber beads, blue dangle earrings, metallic
trimmed crown, blue stockings, red leather
slippers. Incised "J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris A 3"
on head and with original paper label "Le Petit
Parisien Bebe Steiner, Medaille d'Or Paris 1889"
