Description
The bisque socket head boy has shaded brown
complexion and especially detail of modelling,
painted facial features, brown eyes with thick
black and brown upper eyeliner, blushed
eyeshadow, brushstroked dark brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with pouty expression,
brown mohair wig, original composition and wooden
ball-jointed body. Signed "DFB (in script) E4" on
head. DeFuisseaux, circa 1915, the firm's dolls
were heavily influenced by the German art
character dolls of the era. 9" (23 cm).
