Description
The brown-eyed doll has bisque socket head, glass
sleep eyes, painted lashes and brushstroked
brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open
mouth, four teeth, dimples at corners of mouth,
pierced ears, blonde mohair curly wig, original
composition and wooden fully jointed body with
straight wrists. The boy wears original folklore
costume comprising muslin shirt and short pants,
red flannel vest with brass buttons and matching
cap, black bow, stockings, black shoes, and
carries a rucksack and little black fleecy paper
mache lamb. Signed "1079-1 dep S&H". Simon and
Halbig, circa 1900. 10" (25 cm).
