Description
The chubby-faced googly has bisque socket head, blue glass sleep and side-glancing googly eyes, painted short curly lashes, one stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the slightly smiling lips, dimpled cheek corners, brunette mohair wig, original composition toddler body jointed at shoulders and hips. The doll wears antique country-style costume with cotton skirt, apron, muslin shirt embroidered "Gretl", shoes, socks, and carries black velvet cat with brass bell, and tambourine candy box depicting little boy with spider. Signed "Germany 323 A 4/0 M.". Armand Marseille, circa 1920. 10" (25 cm).
