Description
The early bisque doll with socket head has nearly
closed solid dome, blue glass enamel inset eyes,
painted lashes, one stroke brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with
center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair
wig, original early composition and wooden ball-
jointed body with loose ball joints at elbows.
The doll wears an original sheer muslin dress
with tucks and lace ruffles, rose silk bows,
matching undergarments and wide ruffled bonnet,
shoes and socks. Signed "4". Mystery maker,
Germany, circa 1885. 9" (23 cm).
