Description
The rounded face model with bisque socket head
has pale blue glass inset eyes, painted curly
lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with strong accent line between the lips,
unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig in coiled braid
over plaster pate, original composition body
jointed at shoulders, hips and knees with
straight wrists. The doll wears white red
embroidered muslin dress with matching petticoat
and pantalets, red cotton pinafore with lace
trim, tiny brown leather shoes and red stockings,
straw bonnet. Signed "0". Kestner, circa 1885. 7"
