Description
With very plumply modelled face on bisque socket head, the child doll has blue/grey glass sleep eyes, painted eyeliner, lightly painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, well defined philtrum and lip dimples, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig, original composition and wooden fully jointed body with attached ball joints, straight wrists. The doll wears original organdy dress over peach silk underdress with matching lace-edged bonnet, petticoats, pantalets, net stockings, black oilskin shoes, and carries an antique basket of flowers. Kestner, circa 1885. 12" (30 cm).
