The pressed bisque socket head bebe has brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, dark eyeliner encircling the eye sockets, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig in long triple- plaits over cork pate, original composition and wooden fully jointed body with loose-ball-joints at elbows and knees, straight wrists, cupped hands. The doll wears antique costume comprising aqua silk dropped waist dress with lace trim and silk covered buttons, undergarments, white silk stockings, black leather shoes with silver star medallions. Marked "F. 1 G". Francois Gaultier, circa 1882. 10" (25 cm).
