Description
The bisque socket head doll has wistful
expression on her closed mouth with slightly
downcast lips, blue glass sleep eyes, lightly
painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented
nostrils, shaded lips, brunette mohair wig in
long braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed
body. The doll owns antique costume comprising
cotton dress with cotton lace borders and
embroidered yoke, attached petticoat with hidden
pocket, slip, petticoat, pantalets, woven bonnet
with rosette ribbons, brown leather heeled shoes.
Signed "K*R Simon & Halbig 117 30". Kammer and
Reinhardt, circa 1912, their "Mein Susser
Liebling" (my sweet darling") model. 11" (28 cm).
