Description
The bisque socket head doll has ebony black
complexion, flattened solid dome, black glass
enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows,
accented nostrils, coral shaded lips, unpierced
ears, black fleecy wig, original black
composition and wooden fully jointed body with
straight wrists. The doll wears original polished
cotton red shawl and pleated skirt with matching
cap, white blouse with lace sleeves and ecru
sash, coral beads, black stockings and shoes,
undergarments. Signed "325 1". Germany, mystery
maker, circa 1890. 11 1/2" (29 cm).
