Description
The bisque socket head doll has brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, original composition and wooden ball-jointed body. The doll wears blue pinafore dress over cotton chemise and pantalets, white stockings and shoes, and straw bonnet is presented in her original domed trunk with two lift-out trays, each having lace-edged muslin trim, and containing two additional costumes, matching petticoat, chemise and pantalets, and red leather "Musik" folio. The doll is marked "SH 1079 dep Germany". Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. 10" (25 cm).
