Description
The bisque socket head doll has cafe-au-lait
brown complexion, amber brown glass paperweight
inset eyes, black painted lashes and feathered
brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, shaded
lips, four teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy wig
over cork pate, original French brown-
complexioned composition and wooden fully jointed
body. The doll has original muslin chemise with
yellow ribbons and lace trim, and bangle
earrings. Signed "1" on head, and original paper
label from Paris doll shop "Nadaud, 32 rue du 4
septembre". SFBJ, circa 1900. 10" (25 cm).
