Description
The bisque socket head googly has different face
on either side of head, one depicting soldier
with modelled black hair, brown helmet with
painted symbols, brown glass side-glancing googly
eyes, closed mouth with impish smile; the other
face with brown hair beneath a green helmet, blue
glass side glancing googly eyes, painted lashes
and brows, closed mouth with impish smile. The
doll has composition and wooden fully jointed
body and wears brown woolen military costume. The
brown-eyed is signed "Dep", the blue-eyed is
signed "Elite OT 2/0". Max Handwerck, circa 1915.
