Description
The pale-complexioned bisque socket head doll has
plump facial modelling and nicely blushed cheeks,
blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, arched
feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, closed mouth with pale accented lips,
blonde mohair wig in hip-length braids over
plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed
body with straight wrists. The doll wears antique
white cotton dress with drawnwork and embroidery,
undergarments, socks, shoes, flannel bonnet.
Signed "111". Kestner, circa 1890. 9" (23 cm).
