Description
Dramatic blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading are featured on the pressed bisque socket head Bebe, with dark painted lashes and eyeliner, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with shaded outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. The doll wears antique white cotton dress with exquisite detail of embroidery and trim, undergarments, rose knit socks, leather shoes signed "Paris Depose 3", lace cap. Signed "Depose E. 3 J." on head, with artist's checkmarks, and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" on body. Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. 11" (28 cm).
