Description
The bisque shoulderhead doll has brown glass
sleep eyes, painted lashes, single stroke brows,
accented nostrils, closed mouth with center
accent line, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate,
slender elongated kid body with gusset jointing
and bisque lower arms. The doll wears antique
blue woolen mariner costume with fly-front, white
banding, matching cap, black stockings and shoes,
and carries little penny-bisque doll in mariner
costume. Signed "2 1/2 /0" on head and
shoulderplate. Kestner, circa 1895. 12" (30 cm).
