Description
The bisque googlies have unusual facial modelling featuring "overbite" modelling of mouth, round chubby faces, blue or brown glass googly eyes, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouths with prominent upper lip and visible tips of painted teeth, deeply impressed cheek dimples, double chins, brunette mohair wigs, original composition bodies jointed at shoulders and hips. The googlies wear folklore Tyrolean style costumes and are posed on wooden bark base with little dog. Each signed "Heubach 291-16/0 Koppelsdorf DRGM Germany". 7" (18 cm). Circa 1920.
