Description
A bisque socket head doll has painted facial
features depicting a wistful pouty-faced child,
painted facial features, blue eyes with black
upper eyeliner, one stroke brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with downward cast shaded
lips, blonde mohair wig, original composition and
wooden body jointed at shoulders and hips with
well defined shaping of limbs. The doll wears
store-original costume features black silk dress
with pleated skirt, pale yellow silk trim
including detachable full-length bib front,
matching cap, stiffened muslin chemise and
pantalets, tiny black leather shoes. Signed "K*R
114 19". Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1915. 7" (18
cm).
