Description
The brown-eyed child has rich cafe-au-lait
complexion with lustrous finish, glass eyes,
painted dark curly lashes, feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with pouty expression, modelled space between the
teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy wig, original
tinted composition and wooden fully jointed
Sonneberg body with straight wrists. The doll
wears rose and cream muslin dress with tucking on
bodice, lace detailing, undergarments, knit
stockings, leather shoes. Incised "120 2". Maker
unknown, circa 1885, the model nearly exactly
resembles the "circle/dot" Bru bebe. 9 1/2" (24
cm).
