Description
The wistful-faced child has bisque socket head,
brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered
brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with
shaded lips in slightly pouting expression,
blonde mohair wig, original composition and
wooden ball-jointed body. The doll wears antique
costume comprising embroidered tulle dress over
ivory silk underdress, undergarments, cream woven
stockings, black leatherette shoes, bonnet with
floral decorations. Signed "K*R Simon & Halbig
117 30". Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, their
model marketed as "Mein Susser Liebling" (my
sweet darling). 12" (30 cm.)
