Description
The earliest period bebe by Emile Jumeau features
pressed bisque socket head with very pale
complexion, large blue glass inset eyes with
spiral threading and darker outer rims, dark
eyeliner encircling the eye sockets, painted
lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and
eye corners, closed mouth with modelled space
between the pale accented lips, pierced ears,
blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed
body with straight wrists. The doll wears antique
costume comprising white pique coat dress with
capelet collar and braid and fringe trim,
underdress, undergarments, socks, blue kidskin
slippers, and blue silk bonnet. Signed "1" on
head and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris" on body.
