Description
The early model known as "premiere" whose facial
modelling evolved from the Jumeau fashion doll is
presented here in a very rare transitional model
into earliest period EJ bebe. The doll has
pressed
bisque socket head, brown glass enamel inset
eyes,
faintly painted lashes, arched brushstroked
brows,
accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth
with accent line between the lips, pierced ears,
blonde mohair wig over cork pate, spiral spring
neck attachment, original composition and wooden
eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight
wrists
and owns an antique costume (not shown in
photograph). Signed "1" and tiniest incised
letters "EJ" on head, and "Jumeau Medaille d'Or
