19" (48 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with highly defined sculpting of facial features, intaglio brown eyes with large black upper-glancing pupils and white eye dots, outlined eyes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the lips, grooved lower lip, original tacked on brunette mohair bobbed wig, all-wooden spring jointed body, antique costume in the Schoenhut manner. Condition: generally excellent, paint worn on calves. Marks: (incised Schoenhut mark). Comments: Schoenhut, their model 308, circa 1917. Value Points: outstanding quality of sculpting on the rare large version of 308 with well-preserved original painting, original wig.
