Description
17" (43 cm.) All composition doll with socket head and five piece slender body, sleep eyes, very ornate original coiffure in braided coronet and side braids interwoven with blue flowers, wearing original blue net tutu generously trimmed with metallic gold rick-rack, ruffled sleeves, layered underskirts, blue nylon panties, ballerina slippers. Marks: Alexander (head and torso) "Ballerina, Alexander" (costume). The very rare model, known as Karen Ballerina, has superb original coiffure, and fine original costume. Alexander, circa 1946.
