17" (43 cm.) All hard plastic doll, socket head, five piece body, sleep eyes, brunette hair with bangs and pigtails in original coiffure, wearing purple and pink plaid cotton school dress with white collar and cuffs (panties attached to bodice, skirt is separate), fuschia felt hair band with white daisies at the sides, socks, brown roller skates, handbag. Marks: Madame Alexander (cloth tag). The beautiful rare doll has lovely complexion and coiffure, rare tagged costume, original cloverleaf tag "Polly Pigtails". Alexander, circa 1949.
